Marlie went
to Chicago, to join Mark, Mary and Marisa. They chose
Marlie after viewing a video of her and reading my
description of her temperament. It was a PERFECT match!
Here's what Mary wrote:
Marlie
actually slept in a large, wire cage last night
(just like the one in the picture you sent). She
did GREAT!! She only cried for about 1 minute at 2
am (after I let her out to go potty). She
just wanted to play for awhile...she settled down
quickly and went right to sleep. I know she had a
long day yesterday so she was probably exhausted! I
hope tonight goes just as well.
I'd be more
than happy to recommend you as a breeder. I will
work on sending some pictures today.
Marlie's
been SO good. My husband took her for an hour long
walk, off the leash in the forest behind our house.
I took her later on the leash for a walk to a pond
at the entrance to our subdivision. She walked
extremely well for a puppy on a leash. Again, she
is PERFECT for us, exactly what we had hoped for.
She is extremely gentle with Marisa and is not a
jumpy, hyper dog. She doesn't just dart off when
she is off the leash. Marlie is a very sweet girl!
She is sleeping quietly at my feet as I type this
email. THANK YOU!

Ever since
we got Marlie, Marisa gets up in such a good mood
EVERY morning! It's so funny, she used to be a BEAR
in the morning, EVERY morning....so cranky! Now,
the first thing she wants to do is go see her
puppy! If I would have known this I think we would
have gotten a dog sooner.
We are so pleased with
Marlie! We couldn't have hand-selected a better dog
for our family! Our friend told us "You have the
perfect puppy" after seeing Marlie in Wisconsin with
Mark all weekend.

Scout
Scout went
to California to join his new family. Here's what they
wrote:
Scout is doing
well. He sits on command (which you might have taught
him) and is in the process of learning stay and lay
down. I made the pumpkin treats from your recipe and he
responds well to those. He is VERY attached to me. I can
not leave the room without him crying or barking for me.
He is so handsome and so far so mellow.

Scout
with part of his new family
Feedback
received a month after Scout's adoption:
He is such a
good, mild mannered dog. He has already mastered sit,
down, crawl, shake and kennel up. There have been no
accidents in the house since the first week we had him
home. He usually gets three walks a day and it never
fails that people stop me and ask about him. I even had
a car pull over just to talk to me about how cute he is.
We are very happy with Scout. My girls adore him. I will
email you additional pictures as he grows.

Scout is doing great, he is very smart.
Shedding is so minimal. He is such a love
bug!
Linda, feel free to give my email out to any
prospective buyers. I will be happy to tell
them how happy we are with Scout and your
services.

Geneva

Geneva
- Age 5 months
Geneva was
one of the pups that got the extra training. She went to
her new home in Oklahoma at four months of age. Geneva
showed a lot of personality even as a pup, being
sometimes the clown and sometimes the comforter. She's a
very intuitive dog. I fell in love with her when she was
being trained and had a hard time to part with her when
it was time for her to go home. My husband said to think
of it like walking your daughter down the aisle. We have
the satisfaction and pride of a job well done as Geneva
moves on to happiness in her new family.
Here's what
the new owners had to say:
Thanks so much
for the info. We enjoyed looking at the pictures and
reading the discussion of the different coats. Geneva
is doing great. She has really bonded with Rick because
she spends so much time with him. She has the bell
down. In fact too much. Now she rings it when she just
wants to go play outside. She also is starting to try
and open the door herself because we have a horizontal
handle. Rick caught her pawing it and trying to open
the door. Definitely a smarty. We love her more every
day. She is just such a lover. I came home early today
because I did not feel well. The first thing she did
was try to climb on my lap and lay with me. It was if
she knew.
She is a really
special dog and still has the most lovable personality.
Everyone that meets her loves her.

Geneva
- age 9 months
Feedback from
Geneva's family at age nine months:
Geneva is doing
great. She is such a joy. Spoiled rotten but always
fun loving. Tonight her game is unload her toy box to
the back yard. She has been groomed once at this point
but she was only trimmed a little. We are going to give
her a summer cut that will be shorter and cooler. Right
now her coat is pretty long and very wavy.
Dixie
Dixie went to live with her
new family in St. Louis, Missouri. They have three
kids and another dog and, of course, Mom and Dad. Here's
what Dixie's new Mom had to say several weeks after
taking Dixie home:
Dixie is an
absolute dream and the whole family adores her, even
Bogey! She is so social and is doing awesome on her
house training. We just love her and can't imagine life
without her. She is really an exceptional puppy, you did
an incredible job getting her ready for us.
Looking for a breeder you can
feel comfortable with can be a daunting task but when I
saw your site and emailed with you, I instantly felt you
truly loved and cared for all of your animals. It is so
evident with Dixie, you can tell she had a great start
in her life. I can't thank you enough and would be happy
to email or talk with anyone to give you the highest
recommendations if they are considering adopting a puppy
from you.

Dixie
- age 9 months
And feedback from
Dixie's family at age nine months:

She
is still the love of the family! She is
truly an amazing puppy. She is so good and
so funny. Dixie can play and run hard and
then when it is time for bed, she insists on
sleeping with us and is cuddly as can be.
During the night, we keep our door closed
and she starts off next to me and eventually
ends up on her pillows on the floor. We
have not had any reason to put her in the
crate at night time, she is very good.
She
has also brought back some energy in Bogey
and has instilled her good potty training
techniques in Bogey as well. They get along
great and are often seen snuggled up
together.

As
you had mentioned, she has gone through
several coat changes, she has shed a little
but it is only noticeable on black pants
occasionally and it doesn't last long. She
was spayed about a month ago and did
wonderfully and everyone at our vets office
is in love with her! She has had several
baths and loves them but is still not crazy
about the blow dryer. I have not taken her
in for a professional grooming, I have
trimmed her face a bit but she is so cute
with her curly coat. I have also read many
stories on-line about how groomers are not
sure how to do the appropriate goldendoodle
cut. Our groomer at the vet said we can
bring in a picture and she will make sure to
groom Dixie how we want. Last month she was
48 pounds, she is pretty tall and lean. Her
coat is still pretty funny, a little
different from her other siblings but I love
that about her. She is still a very
beautiful apricot color. Our neighbors who
got the two goldendoodles the same day we
got Dixie are very blond-almost white and
have a super curly coat. Although they are
cute, Dixie's coloring and coat texture is
so beautiful.
I
just absolutely adore her, the kids all
adore her and Brendan is also crazy about
her. She is everything I wanted in a second
dog and she has the most beautiful face and
loves everyone she meets. I just couldn't
imagine life without her.
As I
had mentioned before, I would be more than
happy to provide an excellent reference for
you. We couldn't be happier. If you are
ever in St. Louis, we would love to have you
stop by and see her!

Abby

Abby
with Casey and Curtis
Abby went
to Spokane, Washington to live with her new family, who
are also our family. They, too, think she is the perfect
dog.
First email
response:
Abby is here
safe and sound. She is gorgeous and so well behaved.
Thanks so much for her. We absolutely love her.

Abby
on the shore with Caden
Curtis,
Casey and Caden are our grandsons, so Abby found a very
special family indeed! How better could we thank this
wonderful family of ours for their help in giving us a
start with our Goldendoodles than to give them a
Goldendoodle of their own?
Golden Retrievers from March 2008 Litter
Stu
The
puppy we called Tank was adopted by Kathleen and Josh in
California. He is a happy puppy because he gets to go to
Doggy Daycare and hang out with the other puppies. His
new daddy is a triathlon athlete and so Stu gets to go
on trips and swim in places like Lake Tahoe in the
picture below.

Stu had
our basic "puppy kindergarten" and crate training before
he went to his new family at nine weeks of age. This is
an excerpt from the first emails I got after Stu arrived
in California:
"Linda, we
absolutely LOVE him. His flight was delayed but he
handled it all like a trooper. There were a number of
dogs that were a nervous wreck upon arrival but not Stu.
He came flying out of his crate ... ready to say hello
to everyone! The dogs came out in the crates, we showed
our IDs to collect them and we were off! We let the
puppies out and Stu, although tired and a little
confused, was by far the most together. He said hello to
everyone and went all over to check the airport parking
lot out. The other dogs stayed in one spot and just
shivered in fear. Not my boy! He made 12 new friends in
California!"
And an
email after his vet visit:
"He was a
very good boy at the vet. He commented on his
personality and "how loved" he must have been before
coming to California. He also reassured me that it was
fine to have Stu out and about. The risk to exposure of
parvo is low and as long as I avoided dog parks, I
should be fine!"
Before
our puppies go to their new homes they have had the
first two sets of puppy vaccinations. We use Vanguard
Plus 5 which has a high titer parvo vaccine which can
override the immunity from the mother to help the puppy
develop its own immunity early.
And
here's an excerpt from an email after Stu's new Mommy
watched a video I posted about Mattie's training to give
an example of how the puppies progress.
Click here to see the video.
"You wouldn't believe it but at as soon as I started
watching the video you sent, Stu came running into the
room and stood at attention. It was obvious he
recognized your voice and the various noises from the
farm! It was very neat to watch. I played it two more
times because he enjoyed it so much."

Stu in his new home
Kathleen and Josh liked Stu so
well that they adopted his sister Lacey. More
feedback from them as they fill their home with
double the fun.

Mattie
Mattie
went home June 22 after completing the four week
training program. Her new family, Chris and Kelley, loved her long before
they got back to Kansas. Here's what her new Mom wrote
the next day:
"Just
wanted to let you know that we made it home and Mattie
was such a sweetheart the whole ride home. She slept and
played and put her head on my lap - so sweet. She got
home and met her new sister, our 4 year old cat, Mischa,
and things went really well. I am not sure what Mischa
thinks of Mattie, but Mattie loves Mischa and was really
good about sitting and staying so that Mischa could
smell her. She has not yet had an accident in the house.
She was good last night in the crate - she only got up a
couple times to go out. She is the sweetest puppy and we
just love her. You can really tell that she was well
cared for and loved. I will send pictures as soon as I
take some. Talk to you soon!"
And three weeks later
Kelley wrote:

"We have had
Mattie for almost 3 weeks now and I have to tell you
that she is the best dog and we are loving her more and
more everyday. Putting her in your training program has
really spoiled us because we have this incredibly well
behaved dog who listens to us and is so good. You did an
incredible job with Mattie as she is well trained and
has the sweetest disposition. You can really tell that
you love and care for the dogs, as it really shows in
Mattie. She does have her puppy moments where she is
playful and we have a blast playing ball with her and
running around the backyard. Mattie has had quite a few
visitors since we got her and all of our friends and
family are amazed at how well behaved and sweet tempered
she is. I attribute all of these wonderful
characteristics to your care, love, and training before
we got her. You really did an amazing job and Mattie is
perfect. Mattie goes to puppy's day out and the owner
told us that one of the other puppy's moms called to see
if Mattie was going to be there because her puppy loves
Mattie. I thought it was cute - Mattie makes friends
with other dogs and people very easily. She is
especially good with my 2 1/2 year old niece. I will
send more pictures when I take some and updates as
Mattie grows up."

Mattie - 7 months
Feedback at age 7 months:
I am more than
happy to give anyone else a recommendation, as we are
very happy with Mattie. Mattie is getting so big - she
is already 48 lbs!! We love going on walks, going to the
dog park, and playing. She has become a much stronger
chewer and we are constantly trying to find tougher toys
to keep up with her puppy energy. She is a very good
dog, though, and rarely chews on things she isn't
supposed to. We are getting ready to enroll her in some
training classes and we are sure she will do great. She
is really a beautiful dog and we are so in love with
her.

Mattie with Mischa
Feedback from Mattie's family at 11
months old:
Just wanted to send you a few new
pictures of Mattie. The last one is hilarious - Mattie
loves Mischa and is always trying to lick her face.
Mischa is a good sport and lets her do it, even though
you can tell Mischa doesn't really like it. Mattie is
our little sweetheart and we just love her so much. She
has brought us so much joy! :)
